my writing teacher gave us our first prompt for the semester the other day. "what would your 10 year old self think of your 21 year old self?" i haven't started my paper yet, but i thought i'd share the prompt with all of you guys and see what you have to say. if i had to pick a word or two to describe how my 10 year old self might think of me at 21, it might be confused, or maybe even something along the lines of surprisingly disappointed. one thing i know for sure is that i'm excited to explore this more.
what about you guys? what word(s) would your 10 year old self use?

This is a great question and very thought provoking!
When I was ten, I was probably in about 4th or 5th grade. I either wanted to be a veterinarian or a marine biologist at the time. Both of these dreams have changed over the years. I think my 10 year old self would be proud of me for pursuing a career that I'm really passionate about.
I also think that as a 10 year old, I would wonder why some of my 10 year old friends are taller than me when I'm 20. Haha
Thats a really interesting question! I can't really imagine what I would have thought of myself now, at 10 years old! I was so focused on the "then" back then- worried about putting my ponytail up correctly, making friends and riding bikes with my sister!
My 10 year old self would ask me why I'm not married yet and have no babies. I would tell my 10 year old self in response, "Because I'm smart." :) She would also wonder why I didn't end up being a pediatrician... to which I would have to explain that I'm not THAT smart, but at least I did go to college!
My 10 year old self would:
a) be shocked im not married at 22.
b) not be at all suprised that im a teacher.
c) be unimpressed by my crazy alcohol fueled antics.
d) not expect me to be currently living back at home.
e) probably be disapointed i don't have kids yet.
oh how my plans/dreams have changed!!

I think my 10yrs old self would think I'm short!
I am past 21 now but I would say my ten year old self would've thought I was married and a mother. I am neither haha! As I grew older, my goals and dreams have changed. I am now 27 and not weher I thought career terms and definitly not in the sense of my travels and independence!
