travel // 24 hours in san francisco, part 2

Thursday, March 20, 2014

if you've never been to san francisco before, one of the must see tourist stops is the fisherman's wharf and pier 39.  it's where all the tourist flock to see the seals, eat clam chowder out of bread bowls and check out the souvenir shops and street performers.  so after hanging out at the golden gate bridge, we headed to the wharf to take in the sights and get some food in our bellies.

we explored the wharf a bit and grabbed a table at lou's fish shack to get our fill of fish & chips and popcorn shrimp.  it was the perfect "welcome to sf" tourist lunch, complete with a bucket of beers and some awesome people watching as the afternoon fog rolled in and gave us a true san francisco welcome.
