29 things to do in my 29th year of life

Monday, April 24, 2017

i turned 29 last month.  29.  i don't really feel much older but i know i am, you know what i mean?  like i keep finding myself thinking about how i can be more of an "adult" and make decisions that will benefit me in the long run.  i'm even instinctively going to bed earlier .... what the heck?  does your body just know that at a certain age it's time to start acting old?  its weird.  part of me likes it and part of me wishes i was still 22 and running around town like there would never be any consequences to acting that way.  ahhhh, the good ol days.  anyways, 29 is off to a good start and i'm actually, secretly, a little excited to be one year closer to 30.  because, you know, being 29 means i'm one year closer to being a responsible adult, and that just comes naturally at 30, right? (please say yes!)  ha!

to celebrate 29, i've put together a list of 29 things i want to do during my 29th year of life.  i'll try to keep the list updated and cross things off as i do them, and of course share some stories along the way!

adventure // dodgers v padres at petco park

Thursday, May 8, 2014

to celebrate my 26th birthday, we headed to san diego for the day to watch my boys in blue take on the padres for the season opener.  it was such a fun day!  we hung out in the tailgate lot for a bit before heading out to meet olivia at a nearby rooftop bar.  we sipped on delicious cocktails, laughed a lot, and took way too many pictures.  the game?  well i wish it would've ended with a dodger win, but i guess you can't always get what you want, can you?  even though the dodgers lost, we have a great time enjoying san diego and it was a great way to kick off my birthday festivities!

birthdays at sea world

Wednesday, November 30, 2011

this year, we celebrated my parents' birthdays at sea world.  we decided to use the free tickets i had from working at sea world this past summer since they were going to expire at the end of the year.  we grabbed coffee in san clemente and hit the road to san diego.  it was a great afternoon - the park wasn't crowded, we saw all the shows we wanted to, and got to spend the day together.  after sea world, we headed to old town for some mexican food at the coyote cafe and ended the night with margaritas and a birthday flan.  happy birthdays, indeed.

happy one year, little blog

Tuesday, October 18, 2011

Today is my blog's first birthday!!  Such a young little blog I have (ha).  I can't believe I have been blogging for a whole year.  I remember when I first started out and had no idea what I was going to write about, if anyone would follow me, or how long I would be into this whole blog "thing".

Now here I am, one year later, and so glad I started this blog.  I just want to say thanks to all you bloggers.  I had no idea what a sense of community and friendship starting a blog would bring me and I'm so overwhelmed by all the wonderful people I have met.  You guys are the greatest!

This blog has evolved so much over the past year and I can't wait to see what's to come next!  Here are a few of my favorite posts over this past year:

There are so many posts that I probably forgot a bunch of them, oh well.  Do you have any favorites that stick out in your mind?  I'd love to know which ones you love!

And thanks again, for all the love and support you all have given this little blog over the past year.  Looking forward to many more good times!
