adventure // old town temecula

one of my favorite things about living in southern california (besides the weather, duh) is the abundance of cool little towns and places to visit that are just a quick drive away.  over the holidays i took an afternoon to explore old town temecula, which is only about an hour and a half east of where i am in san clemente.  temecula is known for it's beautiful vineyards and delicious wine, but, old town is just as fun as those fancy vineyards.  walking down main street is like you stepped back in time into the old west.  wood buildings, exposed brick, candy shops and soda stands.  cute little boutiques are tucked in between restaurants with never ending wine and craft beers lists.  we ended our day at the temecula wine and beer garden, an outside bar that is apparently known to attract the local biker clubs, but was pretty much empty when we were there.  it was a great place to unwind after an afternoon of exploring.  i can't wait to go back and check out more of the goodness that old town temecula has to offer!
